Introducing Meghan Hayes

Splatt Lawyers Racing welcomes  to the 2019 team.

Meghan participates in both road and track cycling and is characterised by a wicked ability to sprint as well as a wicked sense of humour and a smile always at the ready.

When she’s not carving it up at the velodrome or on the road, Meghan works in the Communicable Diseases Branch within the Qld Department of Health. She holds a Bachelor of Social Science which is reflects the study of human relations and society.

Meghan shares, “I know it sounds cliche, but I love cycling because of the fresh air, the freedom and the fact that it’s a great leveller. It really doesn’t matter who you are or where you’re from. All cyclists share the love of two wheels.”

Meeting many inspirational people through mutual participation has been a highlight for Meghan who believes the the social environment and friendships formed have helped amplify her joy of riding.

“Splatt Lawyers Racing was the team to join, due to the attitude of the team management and our sponsors overall. They all demonstrate that they love the sport and that they care about the team and the cycling community overall. This is important to me as I have a passion for cycling that came out of nowhere but is very real to me.”

Meghan is fond of a decent taco – “tacos to the death!” she declares.

Fittingly her life quote is – “this is not a dress rehearsal”
